Magic the gathering (Island) Refute #0048 - Foundations - MTG Card (English) Common

Refute is a Common blue Instant from Magic: The Gathering — Foundations. This versatile counterspell allows you to counter any target spell and then draw a card before discarding a card, helping you maintain interaction while improving the quality of your hand.

For three mana, including two blue, Refute provides both spell disruption and card selection. The draw-and-discard effect helps you find useful cards, get rid of unwanted cards or put cards into your graveyard for strategies that benefit from them.

Refute is a practical addition to blue control and spell-focused decks. Its ability to counter any spell type makes it flexible, while its card-filtering effect means you still get some value when resolving the counterspell.
